The following is a(n updated) list of my favorite books I’ve read this past year, out of a total of 55 [link]. In somewhat of a particular order…
- The Chronicles of Narnia series by C. S. Lewis
- J. I. Packer: An Evangelical Life by Leland Ryken
- The Things of Earth by Joe Rigney
- Packer on the Christian Life by Sam Storms
- George Müller’s Autobiography
- Reformed Catholicity by Michael Allen and Scott R. Swain
- Rediscovering the Church Fathers by Michael A. G. Haykin
- Notes from the Tilt-a-Whirl by N. D. Wilson
- Live Like a Narnian by Joe Rigney
- Am I Called? by Dave Harvey
- Lit!: A Christian Guide to Reading Books by Tony Reinke
- Reaching and Teaching by David Sills
I also really enjoyed reading through Ravished by Beauty by Belden C. Lane during down time at the dog kennel, but the only reason for that was the plethora of awesome Calvin quotes. Lane’s own thesis was not that great.
